HTML Next Steps

Style your pages with CSS and make them interactive with JavaScript.

You can structure a web page — what's next?

  1. CSS makes it look good: layout, colours, fonts and responsive design. Continue with the CSS tutorial.
  2. JavaScript makes it interactive. Start the JavaScript tutorial — its DOM chapter builds directly on what you learned here.
  3. Publish your page with GitHub Pages or Netlify, then share the link — with the head and meta tags you learned, it will show a proper preview.
  4. Go to production: the Modern HTML5 in Production course walks through real accessibility, forms, performance, SEO and security problems and how HTML fixes them.

Practice project

Build a personal profile page with a header, navigation, an "About me" section with a photo, a list of skills, a table of projects and a contact form. Then validate it with the W3C validator.
