Terms of Service

Last updated 21 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of ReadyCamel at www.readycamel.com and any related sites, apps and services (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by the operator of ReadyCamel ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to the processing of personal data in your country if that is higher, to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.

2. Beta service and changes

The Service is currently in beta. It is offered free of charge during the beta, may contain errors, and may change, be interrupted or be discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time. Features may be added, changed or removed without notice, including sign-in methods and features that are not yet available. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your account, but we are not obliged to keep any feature available.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at any particular time, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data you store in it (such as notes, code drafts or progress) will never be lost. Please keep your own copies of anything important; for example, your notes can be exported from the notes page.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
  • Accounts are personal. Do not share your account or let others use it, and do not create accounts by automated means.
  • Keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account unless it results from our failure to take reasonable security measures. Tell us promptly through the contact form if you think your account has been compromised.
  • You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:

  • break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or use the Service to harass, threaten, defame or harm others;
  • upload or send anything unlawful, malicious, misleading or that you do not have the right to share, including malware or other harmful code;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems or networks; probe, scan or test their vulnerability; or bypass security, rate limits or access controls;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading it, or by using the code-running features to attack, mine cryptocurrency or consume resources unreasonably;
  • scrape, crawl, copy, download in bulk, mirror or systematically collect content from the Service, or use it to build a competing product or dataset (including for training machine-learning models), except as permitted by our robots.txt file for search-engine indexing;
  • reverse engineer or decompile the Service, except to the extent the law allows despite this restriction;
  • resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission;
  • send spam or unsolicited messages through the Service, including the contact form; or
  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone, including us.

5. Your content

"Your content" means anything you submit to the Service, such as notes, code, answers, résumés, job applications you track, and messages you send us. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to operate, secure and provide the Service to you, and as described in the Privacy Policy. This licence ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for copies kept in backups for a limited period or where we must keep them by law.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it. We do not routinely review user content, but we may remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe it breaks these Terms or the law.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, including corrections to lessons, we may use them without restriction or payment to you.

6. Our content and licence to use it

The Service and its content, including tutorials, courses, lessons, interview questions and answers, quizzes, coding problems, test cases, guides, text, graphics, logos and software, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. "ReadyCamel" and our logos are our trademarks; you may not use them without permission, except to refer to the Service accurately.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and its content for your own learning and interview preparation. You may:

  • use short code examples and snippets from the Service in your own projects, personal or commercial, without attribution; and
  • share links to pages of the Service, and quote short extracts with a link back to the source.

You may not otherwise copy, republish, distribute, sell or create derivative works from substantial parts of the content (for example, whole lessons, question banks or problem sets) without our written permission.

7. Running code

The Service lets you edit and run code. Code runs in your own web browser, not on our servers. You are responsible for the code you write and run. Code examples, solutions and test results are provided for learning and may contain errors; do not rely on them for production systems without your own review and testing.

8. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or mention third-party websites, documentation, job listings, courses, books, certifications and career services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, prices, privacy practices or the outcome of any dealings you have with them. A mention or link is not an endorsement and does not mean we are affiliated with the third party, unless we say so.

9. Paid features

The Service is free during the beta. We may introduce paid plans or features in the future. If we do, prices, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be shown to you before you buy, and those terms will apply to your purchase in addition to these Terms. We will not charge you for anything you have not agreed to buy.

10. Educational purpose, no guarantees

The Service is for general educational purposes only. It is not professional, legal, financial or career advice. We do not guarantee that using the Service will lead to any interview, job offer, salary, certification, promotion or other result. Salary figures, company information and interview questions are indicative and may be out of date. See our Disclaimer for more.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity or employment, arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms, even if we have been told such damages are possible; and
  • our total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) brought by third parties that arise from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of the law.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, or restrict your access to the Service, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates a risk or legal exposure for us or others, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 6, 10–13 and 17) continue to apply.

15. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice through the contact form (topic "Legal or copyright notice") with: your contact details; a description of the work you say is infringed; the URL of the material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your name as signature. We will review notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the material.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features (such as paid plans or new sign-in methods) or changes in the law. We will post the updated Terms here with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, will notify signed-in users or ask them to accept the new version. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and you may ask us to delete your account.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of ReadyCamel is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings or to rely on mandatory consumer protections there.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

18. General

  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any terms shown to you for specific features, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours, for example as part of a sale or reorganisation of the Service, provided your rights are not reduced.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

19. Contact
